It’s Monday again. The weekend went by way too fast. My mom was here visiting so Jesse and I caught up on our sleep. When my mom is here Jesse and I get a chance to do what we need/want to get done. For Jesse it was moving our old TV and XBox to his [...]

Since we’ve hired a babysitter for the girls Jesse and I go out at least once a week. We usually go out to dinner and it’s really nice to be able to eat one meal without rushing through it. Last night we decided to check out a restaurant that’s a few doors down from our [...]

Rain, Rain Go Away

The weather is a big disappointment in NYC today especially since it was so beautiful over the weekend. We woke up to gray skies and heavy rain. It’s the type of day when you want to stay inside curled up on the couch with a nice book and a hot cup of tea. It’s not [...]

Sunny Days

We had really wonderful weather this weekend. It was warm, in the 80s but very dry. Perfect weather for going for a walk. We decided to walk to Washington Square Park which is in the West Village. I love the West Village, I fell in love with it the first time we saw it. And [...]

Little Miss Independent

That’s my new name for Eva.

It’s interesting to see how both our girls are very different from one another. Emma didn’t really want to do anything by herself that when she was Eva’s age. Eva is the total opposite. She likes to do pretty much everything by herself. She’s been feeding herself since she was [...]

Another Birthday

Today was Jesse’s birthday. It was a pretty regular day which started at 5 am. Emma thought that today was special enough to wake up a half an hour earlier than usual.
The girls made birthday cards for Jesse this year. I took them to Madison Square Park on Monday where there was a table [...]

The first camp session is over. When I went to pick Emma up yesterday I was given this:

Emma planted it on her first day at camp two weeks ago.

We found a babysitter. She works at the place where we go for our music class so she knew our girls. She watched the girls for the [...]

Have you ever seen a 16-month old eat raw garlic? We did this morning.
We’ve been cycling through a cold for the past couple of weeks. Eva and I were the first ones to come down with it, then Emma and now Jesse. Jesse is the type of person who doesn’t like to take medication [...]

Princess Spotty

This evening the girls succeded in putting a tiara on Spot’s head. They were very happy and proud of themselves and interestingly enough Spot let them. He did not look happy in his tiara but he set patiently for a few minutes while Emma and Eva laughed and squeled “Princess Spotty! Princess Spotty!”
